Why do Homer and Bart Simpson do idiotic things.?

The Simpsons The Simpsons is a satirical parody set in the fictional town of Springfield, and uses many aspects of the human condition including American culture, society, and tv. It follows the middle class family led by Homer Simpson, through all of their adventures.

While the females in that family are more reasonable. Does this teach children that males are usually buffoons and females are reasonable Lisa is a perfect kind of girl and Marge is a perfect wife but Homer can't do anything right and Bart is a bad student and a selfish brat.
