There's a book called The Psychology of The Simpsons.
Psychologists turn their attention to The Simpsons, one of America's most popular and beloved shows, in these essays that explore the functions and dysfunctions of the shoe's characters.

It's not an episode, but it is about the psychology of the show.

There is an Early one in which the family pawns their TV so that they can go and see the famous 'Marvin Monroe'. He sets them up with various tasks (Hitting each other with padded rods, drawing pictures of the antagonize and in an 'electric therapy' system where they 'zap' each other) Maybe this has something to do with Nancy Cartwright being a Scientology (as am I) and our disposition to disagree with Psycology/psychiatry. It is called "The Simpsons seek Therapy" code: 7g04

Homer goes to an asylum and meets Michael Jackson.
Basically the entire episode deals with how the perception of others influence our lives.
