Why is "The Office" so funny?

Ive only seen it for a while and i crack up alto so please explain?
Ok I'am referring to the American Version, yes? I don't watch the UK version

In short it's funny because it's ratable. We generally enjoy something that makes sense to us. Most adults work in an office and have co-workers who are like (to some degree) the people we see on TV.
