Is the show "The Office" funny?

I'm trying to watch an episode on Hull. But the more I watch it, the more irritated I get. It seems like there is a point where dumb humor just becomes dumb. Seriously, I feel like I am getting stupider every time I watch that show. I just wish Americans were smart enough to have caught on to shows like Arrested Development.....probably the best comedy of all time.

that's kinda biased, but yeah it is funny, through the use of people using their stupidity to be funny...

its extremely funny. you really actually get to know the characters and their own specific things about them that make them funny. its not like Seinfeld funny, its like an awkward silent funny. its that perfect kind of funny.

The Office is NOT funny. I don't even know how that show is still on the air. It's T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E!

The first few seasons were the most funny. There is a XMas episode from season one or two that almost killed me.

Recently it's been kind of lame, and the whole "Pam and Jim" crap is annoying...

The Office is one one the greatest shows of all time. You really have to become connected to the characters. I don't understand "dumb humor". Dumb humor is Family Guy, American Dad, etc..

Those shows are crude and sexually funny. If that's your definition of comedy then "The Office" definitely not the show for you.

PS - I do agree that Arrested Development was one of the funniest shows I've ever watched.

I love the Office and think that it is funny too. But I absolutely agree you with you about Arrested Development. I loved Arrested Development, as you can tell by my name. There are limited shows like it these days. I wish it would have gone for more seasons. I feel sorry for the kids that never got to experience it because it is definitely one of the best comedies of all time.

The office is very annoying. Nice to see there are other people who realize this.
