Who is Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt?

Why do people hate them so much? What did they do?

They are"characters"on the MTV show The Hills. Their personalities just rub me the wrong way.

The are from this awesome show called the hills.Heidi was Lauren Conrad's best friend(main character) and then she started to date Spencer. Spencer and Lauren did not get along and Spencer lives off drama i think she does too. any way Spencer started to fight with Lauren and started all these rumors about her and Heidi did not believe Lauren and they began to grow apart as she became closer to Spencer. Spencer best friend Brody stared to hang out with Lauren and now i guess she took his best friend and he took hers. Lauren say Spencer brainwashed Heidi and i guess now they are enemies. Basically the are famous from The Hills.
