How old do you think you should be to read the Gossip Girl series?

do you think you could read gossip girl if you were in the 12-16 age range? Some people say you HAVE to be over 16 to read it.... what do you think?

i'd say 14 and up to be realisticthe books aren't that bad

theyre not _that_ bad, besides, all adolecent and young adult books n e ways ar about sex -_-

I'm twelve years old and I absoloutely love the series! I'm trying to get into the TV series too. I really don't understand the whole 16+ thing. I mean, you have free rights to read and believe whatever you want right? Then again, everybody has their own personal views.
