i received an e-mail stating that the guy who played steve on family matters killed his self. is this true?

Family Guy Family Guy revolves around the stories of Peter Griffin, an outlandish man with positive intentions, blue-collar employee. Peter was born an Irish American Catholic with a strong Rhode Island / Eastern Massachusetts accent. His spouse Lois is seen as a stay-at-home mom who teaches, and has a thick New York accent coming from a rich family background.

I heard that same thing and I just posted a similar question because I was unsure too. I heard it was a prank but not from credible sources.
