Need help with the CSI NY PC game?

I am on the first case, second part (I don't remember what building it is..but it appears to be a lobby) all I need to find is the CD to put into the computer. I can't find it anywhere..I spent 20 minutes searching the screen and clicking randomly. Anyone know where it is? I can't find a walkthrough anywhere.

You have found some pc cables somewhere, you have to drag those to the notebook and then you can find the cd
