Do you get paid a wage if you go on a reality TV show like Big Brother or something?

I'm just wondering what happens when people do reality TV shows like Amazing Race or Big Brother if they have rent or mortgages? Because they're obviously not working for 12 weeks or whatever... has anyone done one? Does anyone know?Thanks :-)

I think I read somewhere that they do get paid minimum wages for TV.D

BB9 house mates were being paid approximately£145 each per week.

Big Brother increases their weekly paycheck each week they are in the game. The longer you are in the more you make.

There is a weekly stipend that these people earn but you don't get it until the end of the production and most people can't afford to wait to get paid.
