how do they choose the america's next top model contestants?

just wondering CZ some of them aren't very.... modish looking. does anybody else think some of them are too sickly? or just plain ugly?

mum i dunno, i try ed out..and i guess i wasn't what they were looking for...and I'm really beautiful so they are pretty dumb. i noticed they like skin and bones, or fat attack. it depends on their mood i think...

The contestants send in video tapes and the judges choose and call the select few... then they do that crap that they do on TV

And if you haven't noticed, just about all models are sticky and ugly. It is called photo shop.

And the girl under me, you're a dumb ass. The contestants do not pay.

And all because you are beautiful doesn't mean that you should be a model. A lot of beautiful women are horrible models. It is more of how you use your face and how you use your body to achieve a look.

i completely agree, one season i saw a big fat ugly black girl with only a few strands of burnt hair hanging of her full of dandruff skull get to the final twelve! i think they just choose the ones that pay more...

Yes, you send in a video tape and I think pictures? Supposedly they're all watched by the other judges and weeded through, then by Tyra. Next comes sessions of in-person interviews before the choose the final girls, I imagine. Runway and high-fashion models like the type they look for aren't usually standardLybeautiful" or "pretty", they're just unique, tall, and skiinnny. Of course, they have the plus-size models, but they have yet to win or even make it to the final rounds. On photographs taken by professionals, anyone can look beautiful. But when these people take photos of interesting looking-people, they appear not only beautiful-- but exotic, eccentric, or whatever it may be that sets them apart from the rest. No one wants to see VOGUE magazines filled with the girl next door. However, on the show's footage, I agree that there are some that I find to be considerably unnattractive...haha.
